Week Two Complete – Full Body Reset

Today was the last day of the Detox part of my full body reset – just finished drinking my last glass of the detox supplement.  It wasn’t that bad – had a minty lemony thing going for it but it did not dissolve well (possibly by design) and created a gritty drink but I had no issues with it.

My diet has been 100% vegan this week – no dairy or meat of any kind plus no grains.  I am still amazed at how much I am not craving meat or cheese, although I did have a craving for spaghetti with sausage last  night.  But that was because I made it for the girls to eat.  Even when we went out to eat I was able to successfully stay on the program – albeit a little challenging.

This last week is Reclaim and I’ll be substituting the Detox supplement for Revitalize which is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of healthy bacteria in your digestive tract.  Seven more days of distilled water, supplements and a vegan diet – just in time for Turkey Day! (in moderation, of course)

A little side note – I made a bet (or a promise – I’m not really sure which one it is) several months ago with myself that once my weight was under 200 lbs. for at least a week I would shave off my beard & mustache.  Could be that this Thanksgiving see’s me with a hairless lip for the first time in over 20 years.  Something my kids have only seen in pictures.  Could be interesting.

Somethings on my mind…
Running – I have certainly missed running during this process – which is a good thing because it means this wasn’t a short-term “phase” for me.  I am planning out my running goals for 2013 (which I’ll post about later) as well as planning for getting into stronger physical shape.

It’s Christmas time!! – Yea I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet but here at the Dwyer household Christmas officially starts on November 1.  That means it’s acceptable to play the occasional Christmas song and we start planning for our annual Christmas party.  This is one of my most favorite times of the year!
