I have been under a self-imposed rest period since my last run this past Wednesday due to what appears to be Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS) with my left knee. So with today’s run I just wanted to get in an easy effort and test out whether the pain would return. The run went great, I felt good and there was only some minor discomfort in the knee. Time was better then expected to so all things looked to be on track.
Within 10 minutes of finishing the pain was back though – so back to the ice and my foam roller to see if I can’t minimize this episode. I think I may have to seriously reconsider participating in this Saturday’s 5K Run/Walk for the Abundance Foundation.
