Woke up on Day 2 with a killer headache – which may or may not be due to the reset but I have no way of telling. It’s not like I have never woken up with a headache before. Last night was tough – my hunger was extremely high and took a lot of willpower not to eat something. Increasing the portion sizes a bit may help avoid the same issue tonight.
Less of the “mental fog” today but it was still there – increasing my water intake hoping to end the feeling.
Forgot to mention yesterday that I am also going to try to stop taking Zantac – which I was taking 2 a day. Yesterday I had some minor heartburn and even less today. Let’s see if this is an added benefit of the reset.
2 down 19 to go.
Day 2 Meals
1 cup cooked oatmeal
1 cup fresh blueberries
2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
½ cup organic plain yogurt (sweetened with maple)
Enjoyed the plain yogurt more than I expected – organic maple syrup was the way to go. I have not had non-instant oatmeal since I was a kid so at first I wasn’t sure if I liked it. Doing this reset in November makes getting good fresh fruit tough – blueberries were somewhat tart.
Salad with cucumbers, red bell peppers, carrots, grape tomatoes, chicken breast and almond slivers & homemade Creamy Garlic Dressing
Another great salad. The program called for a Greek salad with Greek dressing – but I was feeling a bit lazy and didn’t feel like making a dressing. I did add the chicken which was nice to have.
Black Beans and Rice
2 Tbsp. salsa
¼ cup guacamole
Dinner was to included corn tortillas but I forgot to buy them so I just had the beans and rice. Had more than I was probably supposed to. This is something I already make often so I modified it with some cilantro and garlic. Tasty!
